Since 2008, the George and Missouri Bell Foundation Inc. has been committed to providing educational and charitable assistance as a 501(c)(3).

Who we are

The George and Missouri

Bell Foundation is the collaborative vision of family

members who are the descendants of George and

Missouri Bell’s eight children. The Bells served as

community activists who helped recently freed Blacks and their children to pursue an education, careers, and personal

freedom. The George and Missouri Bell

Foundation serves to honor their hard work and

personal sacrifice.

Aiding and supporting senior citizens

by conducting workshops specific to

Scholarship Application Requirements

This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis and the candidate must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Enrolled or accepted to an accredited four (4) year college, university, two (2) year community or technical school


Minimum grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale


Demonstrated commitment to school activities


Demonstrated public service in or for the African-American community


Demonstrated financial need
